Hex Hall

So my second book on here. Hex Hall is written by Rachel Hawkins and let me tell you. . .it's an amazing book! Absolutely wonderful writing! When you start reading it, you'll never want to put it down. *************Spoiler Alert*********** So I loved how Archer and Sophie started falling in love. Then when she found out that he was The Eye in the cellar, I was like "NOOOOOOOOO!" this cannot be happening! Archer and Sophie have to be together. But I really didn't believe that Archer actually killed Holly and hurt Chaston and Anna. He just didn't seem capable. And then when he runs away, he sheds a tear. I think he did that because he was sad that he'd been found out because he was falling in love with Sophie and really wanted to stay. I had my suspicions about Alice from the beginning. I was kind of wondering if the "ghost" was following her because she was Lucy or Alice but I wasn't sure. Then Alice introduced herself. At first, I thought that she was good. But she was all to ready to let someone get hurt. Plus she gave Sophie the bone to put in Elodie's dress knowing that something bad would happen. I also kind of wondered if she was the demon that Elodie, Chaston, Holly, and Anna had conjured. That kind of made me suspicious of Alice. Then obviously, my suspicions were true. It kind of threw me when they said that Sophie was a demon. I also couldn't believe that Jenna could have hurt those girls. I seriously thought it was The Eye. What a fabulous book though! I really advise that you read the next book, Demon Glass. I haven't read it yet but I'm going to be starting it as soon as I finish the current book that I'm reading.

Zachary Levi............Flynn Rider/Eugene
Donna Murphy.........Mother
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is that it's one of my favorite Disney movies! So, I've always been one of those girls who instantly falls in love with the prince/hero and Flynn is definitely one of those guys. And for a cartoon character, he doesn't look that bad! Well I loved the movie. I laughed the whole time and every time I watch it, I tear up when Flynn dies. I just love how everything happens. Like all the funny lines that Flynn says like with the frying pan and the "smolder"! Just purely brilliant! A wonderful spin to the classic tale.

Bad Teacher

92 Min.
2011
Rated R
Comedy

*********Spoiler Alert**********
Quite a good teacher. It's about a teacher (Cameron Diaz) who gets dumped by her fiance. She comes back to teach just for money and spends all her time trying to find a guy. A sub comes in (Justin Timberlake) and he's quite a sensitive man. So Elizabeth (Cameron Diaz) and this other teacher, Amy (Lucy Punch) fight over him. Amy gets Scott (Justin Timberlake). Now Elizabeth will do anything to get these breast implants but they'll cost $9,000 dollars that she doesn't have. So she tries to make her class get the best testing score so she can get the $5,700 bonus. In the end, she gets with the gym teacher named Russell (Jason Segel). Throughout the whole movie, he's been asking her out but she's been refusing. Now they start dating. At the end, the bad teacher comes back as a good teacher. It's an okay movie but very foul mouthed and definitely not for little ears. It's pretty funny though. Almost in a "I can't believe that just happened" sort of way.

The Dead and the Quick

107 Min.
1995
Rated R
Action, Adventure, Drama

**********Spoiler Alert***********
So this movie is really good if you like westerns. This girl named Ellen (Sharon Stone) watched a man (Gene Hackman) named Herod who later becomes mayor kill her father (Gary Sinise) who was a marshall. She grows up wanting revenge. Then the mayor creates this contest where people dual on the street. She participates and the mayor makes the pastor (Russell Crowe) participate as well. The mayor's a very ruthless man and even duels against his own son (Leonardo DiCaprio). His son dies and this makes Ellen just want to kill the mayor more. Right after this fight, the mayor makes the pastor which is someone who has helped Ellen all through the duels and Ellen fight. Neither one was going to draw their guns but the mayor said that at the count of 10, if neither of them shot the other, he would have his gunmen shoot them down. So Cort (the pastor) drew his gun and shot her. They had planned for her to pretend to die. Then, when the mayor and Cort fight at the end, she walks in and kills the mayor. Then she makes Cort the new marshall. That's the short version but the movie is so much better.

Captain America: The First Avenger

124 Min.
2011
PG-13
Action, Adventure, Sci-fi

************Spoiler Alert**************
Captain America is a movie set during WWII. Steve Rogers (Christopher Evans) is a small man who was always bullied. He really wanted to go into the army but he had many medical problems and was very small. After five tries to go into the army, one man came and told him that he could enter the army. Then he became Captain America through a science experiment. And let me just say, Christopher Evans looks mighty fine without a shirt on after the science experiment which makes him more buff and taller. After that experiment, he goes around with show girls and performs like a "dancing monkey". When he finds out that his friend Bucky is missing, he goes and rescues them. Soon he goes around to destroy all of the evil guys Johann Schmidt's factories. There's a lot of action scenes which is just awesome. At the end, the only way to save the world is for Captain America to land the plane (that was supposed to send a bomb type thing that could disintegrate the whole world) in Antarctica. He had fallen in love with a girl named Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) who was an agent in the army. His last dying words were that he would have danced with her which has symbolic meaning. Pretty much they tell each other that they loved each other. Then, 70 years later, he wakes up and realizes that it's 2011 and that he's been asleep. It's an epic movie.

House Of Pizza, Lyndonville, VT

Wow! That's all I can say. The best pizza in the world. If you ever go to Lyndonville, VT, make sure you go there. Even cheese pizza surpasses your expectations. You'd think "oh this is just cheese pizza so it's kind of plain". Well it's not! There's so much cheese! And the crust itself is good. How many places can you say that the crust is good? I bet none! Plus, the sauce is a secret recipe and taste delicious! It's a small brick shop on Main Street but around here, it's the hub of the town. Another plus is that it's greasy like pizza usually is but it's not too greasy like the Pizza Man (another Lyndonville pizza shop which isn't that bad, but House of Pizza is 10x better).

The Perfect Man

The Perfect Man
With Hillary Duff, Heather Locklear, Chris Noth, and Mike O'Malley.
PG
Some mildly suggestive content
1 Hr. 41 Mins.
****************Spoiler Alert**************
Pretty good. I liked it and it made me smile and laugh but you can definitely see why it's rated PG. The plot of the daughter named Holly(Hillary Duff) pretending to be a secret admirer for her mom named Jean (Heather Locklear) so that her mom is happy was obviously cute. She was trying to make her mom happy again after finding out that her boyfriend was a douche. But there were other parts like when her mom goes out with a guy named Lenny(Mike O'Malley) from the baker shop to watch a Styx tribute concert. That was funny. Then the scene where she goes to the wedding thinking that Ben(Chris Noth) was getting married but really he wasn't. He was just catering the wedding for a friend. I really liked that Adam fell in love with her. It was just so cute. And the fact that she finally got to go to a dance at the end was cute. I liked it but it was very PG.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon
With Paul Bettany and Kirsten Dunst
PG 13
Language, sexuality, and partial nudity
1 Hr. 38 Mins.
2004

*********Spoiler Alert********
So Wimbledon was quite a movie. It was a wonderful romance. One of my friends watched it and she doesn't like tennis so she found parts of it boring when it was all about tennis but she still loved the love story. I think it was good. It was another romance movie that made me smile and laugh. The part that made me laugh the most was at the end when Peter's son hit him in the head with a tennis racket. That made me laugh. But I also liked the running scene. Along with the scene where Peter(Paul Bettany) wins the Wimbledon and then runs through the crowd to find Lizzy(Kirsten Dunst). It's really good. I suggest watching this as soon as you can. It's one of those movies where you're like NO NO NO that can't happen and then suddenly it's like oh, okay. Well that worked out good in the end.

Head Over Heels

So last night I watched Head Over Heels with Freddie Prinze Jr., Monica Potter, and Sarah O'Hara. What a good movie. *********SPOILER ALERT******** The movie was really funny. Especially the parts when Hamlet jumped on Amanda(Monica Potter). It was a funny comedy. It's one of the movies where it makes you smile while watching it. It's a little weird because of the whole plot. The way everything is set up with Jim/Bob(Freddie Prinze Jr.) being an undercover FBI agent and the fact that Amanda drew in Jim/Bob's face into a famous painting that she was restoring. And then Amanda lives in a house of models and then she falls in love with Jim/Bob. It's a really good movie though. It makes you laugh
PG-13

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Written by J.K. Rowling. This book is a really good book. In all reality, all of the books in this series are good books. The inner twining plots are so intriguing. While reading this, you read about Lord Voldemort's plan, try to solve who's trying to kill Harry in the tournament, trying to figure out if Harry will live, and much more. It's so interesting. You just don't want to put the book down. This is one of those series that when you finish reading it, you just want to go back to read more because you feel like you forgot something. Purely genius righting.

"You place too much importance... on the so-called purity of blood! You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be! ~J.K. Rowling, "The Parting of the Ways," Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, 2000, spoken by the character Albus Dumbledore"

"I can’t come with you," said Hermione, now blushing, "because I’m already going with someone."
"No you’re not!" said Ron. "You just said that to get rid of Neville!"
"Oh did I?" said Hermione, and her eyes flashed dangerously.
"Just because it’s taken you three years to notice, Ron, doesn’t mean no one else has spotted I’m a girl!" (GF22)

'We've been hearing explosions out of their room for ages, but we never thought they were actually making things,' said Ginny, 'we thought they just liked the noise.' (GF5)

Welcome
